The Shock Electronix Eurorack Rails and tap strips are a great choice for DIY cases/enclosures and projects. 
 
Each 2/pair of 168HP rails and strips give you the equivalent of 3U in height. This conforms to the Doepfer industry standard, and can also be used applied into other existing systems.
 
The advantage you will find using these rails in comparison to many other rails on the market is:  
 
Less bowing in wider systems over time Vs thinner lighter and generally poor constructed rails. 
The edging lip allows for easier positioning Vs slipping off and potentially damaging the module.
Tapped strips, make it easier to locate and fix your modules into position Vs in the loose nut type systems.
